The Béres Credo

The prime ambition of the Béres Vineyards and Winery has been to produce Tokaj wines of exceptional quality and sell them both in Hungary and abroad, thus enriching the Tokaj Wine Region and promoting it, as well as its wines and wine culture around the world.

It was over 20 years ago now that our family, already successful in the pharmaceutical sector, pledged commitment towards the Tokaj Wine Region and established a winery in Erdőbénye. We found motivation in centuries of rich history and the truly unique wines of Tokaj, to contribute to these outstanding values any way we can.

The common thread in our versatile product portfolio is the “Béres values”: outstanding quality, dependability and authenticity. We chose our Winery’s motto “EVERY SINGLE DROP IS BÉRES” to convey this. Our flagship pharmaceutical product, Béres Drops and Tokaji aszú are both listed as Hungarikums which means they both “represent the high performance of the Hungarian people” - a success we have been delighted and proud to work for.

Beyond professional success we also strive with our winery to contribute to the betterment and development of our environment in the broader sense. This is why we have been actively involved in the community of Erdőbénye as well as civil organisations of Tokaj Wine Region from the outset.
