Fresh, fruity wine. Notes of pear and grapefruit on the nose. Its lively acidity makes it crisp, with a long, citrusy finish. A true Furmint reminiscent of summer.
Our goal was to create a harmonious, fruity, relatively light and reductive Furmint. Our Estate Furmint was born from grapes harvested at different times, fermented with different yeasts, and using various fermentation techniques.
After a cold and wet winter, spring was cooler than average, delaying grape development by 3-4 weeks. Summer brought extremely high temperatures, but much less rainfall than average. Due to the spring weather, the harvest started 2 weeks later than usual, on 20 September. The autumn brought plenty of sunshine and little rain, creating favourable harvest conditions. The vintage produced fresh and crisp sparkling and dry wines, as well as well-balanced Szamorodni and Aszú wines capable of aging gracefully.
