Uniquely complex, extremely flavourful, unique wine specialty. Its high sugar content is beautifully balanced by a vibrant, lively acidity. In the rich mouthfeel, notes of tart apricot jam, dried fruits, raisin bread, and roasted nuts emerge. The long finish sequentially bids farewell to the various layers: fruits, spices, caramel, honey, and minerality.
The handpicked and selected Furmint aszú grapes were soaked for 24 hours in fermenting base wine made from a blend of Muscat and Furmint grapes, then gently pressed. The matured Aszú wine was aged for 30 months in Szerednye-type oak barrels, then bottled.
Following a mild winter, the first period of the year brought substantial precipitation. The weather was cooler than average until the end of May. Following this, the weather developed favourably according to the season. Harvest began on 15 September, yielding healthy grape clusters for our sparkling base and dry wines. Significant aszú development appeared in our vineyards due to heavy rainfall in early October. As a result, both our sweet Szamorodni and Aszú wines were made in exceptionally high quality.
