Béres Tokaji Aszú
6 puttonyos

Brilliant, deep amber-coloured wine specialty with a distinctively intense, unique, and rich aroma. Extremely complex, showing in its taste everything that is in its aroma: dried fruits, tea, smoke, barrel spices. Honey-sweet, but with very high acidity that brings citrusy freshness and elegance. Full-bodied, complex, layered wine with an endless finish. It excels as a dessert, but also elevates all sweet flavours to new heights.

Individually handpicked and selected Hárslevelű and Furmint aszú grapes were soaked in clean, fermenting 100% Furmint base wine overnight. The aim of soaking is to enrich the material to be pressed with the alcohol and carbon dioxide produced during the onset of fermentation. This Aszú was aged for 36 months in Szerednye-type, Zemplén oak barrels, then bottled.

After a mild winter, spring came early. The vegetative season was moderately warm and dry, allowing the ripening process to proceed smoothly. Harvest started on 14 September. Thanks to the September rains, the botrytisation process began as planned, allowing us to gather an excellent harvest of aszú grapes. The vintage was above average in terms of both dry and sweet wines.
